That video was great! Couldn’t stop laughing. Personally I carry both. I always have a mini Moleskine Volant in my back pocket and I have my smartphone. I usually have my shopping list in the Volant, but now that I have the wife on a smartphone I might try a few apps that can sync between us. There are a lot of times though that a notebook is easier.
Like you, I carry both. There are some things you just can’t do well with a smartphone. The notebooks are indispensable for drawing sketching and allow me greater freedom in how I want to organize my life. The alarm on the smartphone are nice if you tend to forget to check your planner for important appointments.

Now that my wife has moved up to a smartphone I have completely ditched the paper planner. It’s so much easier to keep us both on the same schedule with Google calendar.
The Google Calender is awesome for syncing the calenders of multiple people. What a great idea for busy families.

Can’t handwritten anymore (a real drawback if I have to write a check), so my tablet is a blessing! Loved the video!
